Humax HDR - line1 out query

I am looking to get a human 500GB Hdr to replace sky+, and notice it has a line 1 out connector. I downloaded the manual but it doesn't explain it's use too well.

My thought was that I could connect from the line 1 out to another freesat box nearby to save running new cables to the lnb. While I know I might be limited to the same program as is on the humax, am I mad in my thoughts?

    Any help would be appreciated

The line out is operating the PVR with just one input - with the loop you can at least record one channel whilst watching another, providing it’s sharing the same polarity.

Thanks for that but if that is the case, can I send line 1 out to another room playing the same channel there?

I couldn't say to be honest but it sounds like a bit of a complication.

It's just the way the existing writes run. Just trying to plan ahead and avoid the need for video senders in one of the rooms

Yes, & it doesn't have to be the same channel, only same band (high or low) & polarity (horizontal or vertical).

Hi Duggy. I haven't bought it yet, but i'm looking at richer sounds in Belfast.

Yes, as Peter says you can watch any channel on the same frequency band and polarity. However:
This is not like Sky where you can plug in the output from the Satellite box directly into your telly. Unless your 2nd telly has a satellite tuner built in, you will have to buy a second receiver to view that 'Line Out'. By rights you should also have Satellite Grade cable linking the two rooms. You might get away with a lower grade coax for short runs.

Thanks for that. I do have a spare old sky box, and there is already satellite cable going to the other room, so I'll give it a go.
