There was a fire in the first town. Not sure how it started. I got it out in time. Funny enough it was mostly my house was damaged! and some of the wheat farm beside it.

I have it repaired. but I think fire should be banned from the towns. especially when lit on nether blocks

Don't remember any fire sources at that end of the town! Unless Tyler was mucking about underground again!

not me! I'm over in the new village now. Someone has a fire lit inside their house when I was on the server last night.

I thought we already had the whitelist on. also I have a screen cap of who was on and who left/joined around the time not that I'm blaming the people that were on.

Prompted me to update to 1.8.1 this morning. Still connected to the server fine.

I noticed those flames alrighty, someone's house ended up burnt out.
I put a dose of netherrack ontop of the main spire last night, could that be 'spitting' like lava/fire does?

Server was restarted and whitelist kicked in. Also I've increased the difficulty :P

As for the fire, There was 4 floating fire blocks(Curse my lack of block knowledge!) above blands melon farm was there not? They could of set the place on fire?

Nope, those were on cherry's tower behind it. Eight were added to the butchered spire and there were two at the entrance and one in my basement, all placed so as to avoid catastrophe.

Given that it has not yet re-occured I suspect it was arson committed just after the staircase rape and lava griefing at the apartments. I'm wondering if a certain user was compromised as they're not the type to pull this BS and started behaving odd just after I got kicked and couldn't log back on (which was when the fires were started)

Right its a server crash from closing chest animations from what I see. I'll have a gander and look for a solution
