Pattern locked Samsung Europa phone

My daughter is after locking her samsung europa phone by entering the pattern code wrong 20 times and now it is asking for her user name and password but when she enters them it doesnt accept them. I have googled this a bit and found it is a common problem with the phone. The phone itself only cost 50 euro so I'm reluctant to bring it in to an unlocking shop as it will cost around 40 euro!! I've tried to perform a hard reset but it wont work. Any ideas?

Flashing it should clear that, not familiar with that phone myself though.

You might get lucky and get a boardsie to do it, XDA ROMs here (I think that's the right model)

Cheers. Can I still flash it if I cant actually get into the menu or the keypad?

Update : I just flashed my phone and it still says too many pattern attempts and i still cant get in.....:(
