    Hi folks,
Looking for advice please. Been hearing different things from some installers.

    HAVE:-
Sky+ Dish (Oval) with Quad LNB, SKY+ HD
    Recently installed Terrestrial Aerial

    4 SAT, 1 Terresrial and 1 spare COAX feed to office, into a COAX strip in a 19" rack. The rest of the rooms are piped there;

    4 Bedrooms - 1 COAX
    Kitchen - 1 COAX
    Playroom - 1 COAX
    Living Room - 3 COAX
    Sitting Room - 2 COAX

    Would like to be able to;
Kitchen, Playroom, 3 Bedrooms - Watch (not record Satellite) & Saorview
Main bedroom - Watch (not record) Freesat or Sky & Saorview

Living room - Watch & record Sky+HD (box in there), Saorview
Sitting room - Watch & record Freesat and Saorview

    Is this possible?

    I am hearing things about
Quattro LNB + Terrestrial --> multiswitch --> rooms --> Diplexers

    1. Does this work?
    2. With my Sky dish? Does not need bigger?
    3. I hear the multiswitch is complex - apart from identifying which feeds, how?
    4. Will HD quality be affected?
    5. Can I amplify my terrestrial in such a configuration (its not great right now without amplifer)?

    6. Any way I could watch and control my sky+ box in another room?

Would like to hear any perferences on the hardware also please.
Also, if you are an installer in the Cork area, and is comfortable with these setups, I would like to hear from you.

Thank you very much in advance,
    James.

Yes a quattro LNB will work as will the existing quad LNB with a quad-compatible multiswitch, the 5/12 multiswitch here for example.

The existing Sky dish will be OK.

A single satellite/aerial (5 input) multiswitch shouldn't be complex, adding a second or third LNB (9 or 13 input) with DiSEqC switching can be a little more difficult but with your planned setup it should be straight forward.

    HD shouldn't be affected.

The above multiswitch can also power a masthead amp and should amplify the terrestrial output.

Unable to answer the question on controlling a Sky receiver in another room.

For quad lnb compatible switch, Google "Q2 multiswitch".

As for poor terr. signal, are you viewing digital or analogue? Is it already configured to 'work' or awaiting integrated system?

    Thanks folks
Viewing analog on a Phillips CRT, can't get tv3, have rte 1,2, tg4 ok quality.

Strangely my Sony Bravia kdl46ex503 won't find either analog or digital.
Using a 1-in, 5-out splitter really hurts the signal quality, so I assume i need an amplifier, which it looks like the multiswitch seems to have?
