With the tenth anniversary just days away any one else think that there is a credible threat of attacks on the western world on september 11th, we know that these terrorists like to target key dates.

why would anyone do anything on, or near, the anniversary? that would be idiotic, and the guys planning this stuff arent idiots. if theyre up to anything id say itll be a case of put threats out there for around 9/11, let the authorities think theyve done a great job when nothing happens, then when the dust has settled and everyone is patting their backs, you get down to business

Woah.... don't be getting all logical.

They'll attack on a given day and the rest of us will then work out various reasons why it is significant.

Like if you add and subtract various numbers, it relates to various numerical features of the attact that we can hand pick or if Ken and Deirdre Barlow got married on the same date, stuff like that.

From what's being said on the media (as much as you can trust them) the threat hasn't come from any source making a threat, but is intelligence based, citing the movement of certain people over US border and rental vehicles (which have been used in two building attacks on US soil in the past 20 yrs)...
Maybe it's all dry run or empty threat...it doesn't make sense to do it with security heightened but then again it's a bigger psychological blow if you do it when the US has it's guard up...

[edit] I don't think foxnews released classified briefing on the threat to senators at Obama's congressional address.

FOX NEWS All the media like to be there first with the most idiotic scare stories. And FOX news watchers love to be scared. This is why scary movies are so popular. Katrina and Irene will also have 10th anniversaries. As will the Dow dip of two weeks ago. In the silly season or no news day ......... these will be analysed and hyped and have the over 70s reaching for the heart tablets.

I wonder who sends these terror threats.
Like the last thing a terrorist would possibly want is to say when and where he'ld be planning his next terror act. Its like sending the banker a letter stating the date and time when you're planning on committing the robbery.

And also couldn't the CIA with all their technological might not trace the terrorists who send them these threats??....
