Done a bit of a quick rummage via the search feature, but no joy!

Question is, does anyone know if I can activate a sky viewing card in an old Sky+ box temporarlly, in order to archive some of the recordings on to DVD.
    (Original card no longer works).

It's a recently activted card for a HD box, and of course I'm hoping that it won't effect the pairing with the new box.

    Many thanks in advance!

If you ring sky they can pair the card with a different box... I done it before with a plus box i bought on adverts

Wow, now that was a quick response!

Cheers for that, I'll give them a ring at the weekend.

Unfortunately, the recordings are restricted to the original card/box combo that was used.

So if this is a new card you're going to pair, then i'm afraid you're out of luck.

Yeah, that sounds about right, Sky making things as awkward as possible. Ah well I suppose this will take a little more time/planning!
