Hope you let her keep it.

Why on earth should he let her keep it? A broken engagement would be tough enough to deal with without someone buggering off with 5k of your money. If Kevin wanted her to keep it that's his decision, otherwise she should have the good grace and manners to return it.

    A B&Q Greenhouse.
Took a whole weekend to set up.
Everything we planted in it died.
It blew down the first strong wind we had in Autumn.
Threw the bits that hadn't blew away it in a skip a few months later.

Also have travel guide books for numerous places I have either not yet made it to or forgot to bring the damn book on the holiday; Crete, Cuba, Belgium (I don't know why either), Lithuania, Yugoslavia (not sure this one is a modern & acurate portrayal for tourists), Croatia, Maldives, South Africa, among many others...

Electric guitar, amp and distortion pedal. Played "The Wicker Man" once or twice. The whole set rots under my bed for the past year.

Panic bought a ****load of DJ gear for a gig I never ended up playing after my old gear had a meltdown. Then spent €200 getting the old gear repaired anyway. That still hurts.

When I was big into WWE, I bought a replica Kurt Angle "I will make you tap out" T-Shirt from the official WWE store in Times Square. XL and everything because it was the only size they had and I really wanted it.

Wore it back home to Ireland thinking I was the business, only to be looked at with derision. Haven't found it in my wardrobe since.

A lava lamp years ago. Hardly used the thing until one day it hit the deck and exploded all over my room. Worst purchase ever.
