    Hi

I was told by my County council that they couldnt assess my application for free fees until my BTEA was approved (I'm not applying for the grant, just the free fees part of it).

I'm still waiting to hear back on my BTEA , and I heard today that the grant application is closed??

Does this mean that Im too late to apply???

    Worried. Thanks for your help.

How can they close your grant application? you to need to find out why it was closed. If necessary contact all the county council members and ask them to assist.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

If it's your first time applying in this way for BTEA and the maintenance grant, they would need to know if you have been approved for BTEA. If you are approved, the maintenance grant only covers your fees, but if your application were to be rejected, they would be required to give you the full maintenance grant - fees and monthly payments. So they would need to know that before the application through.

If it's not your first time down this route, then there's some fibs being told, because I applied for both and the applications went flawlessly.
