Thats what dose me, If it was some dodge straight to DVD C movie it would have been OK. But a production like GOT, you got to be doing anything you can to get involved.

Next thing you know you are auditioning for a small appearance in CSI or something. Maybe a bit of eye candy who cares. You put all these names on your CV and then you start trying to get into some pilots or small movie parts. Heck the fact that she is a model and willing to take her clothes off would increase her chances of getting work.

If you look at almost any actor/actress on IMBD they all started like this. I feel she has made a poor career decision.

People wouldn't have been complaining because it wouldn't have been an issue if she didn't make a publicity grab. Just like if she'd said no to the nudity and not made a publicity grab.

She wants people to talk about the incident, or she wouldn't have done an interview on the subject. It may not be possible to get the people of after hours to be happy, but it's easy to engineer a little controversy for them to talk about.

If she agreed, she would get a pittance and her nipples would each be credited with 5 seconds of screen time. No newspaper appearances

If she disagrees, no pittance but the tabloids pick it up and she gets attention(the modelling equivalent of a big break)

Girl has brains as well as breasts, sadly in this world we have to pay for both

Well, I guess the herald wanted to know why she turned down the role, so they asked her and she explained. And yes it's publicity. Still don't see how its a reason to call her stupid.

I think most people here would be embarrassed if their sister got their boobs out on Game of Thrones; would probably be relieved if she decided not to!

The world is full of fame-hungry people who will do anything to get on tv (watch any reality tv show) so its nice to know there are some people with integrity and willingness to not compromise. She sounds like she'd like to do acting, but she's not too bothered about it and would be happy to be a sports psychologist.

Biggest TV show in the world based on the most acclaimed fantasy novels since lord of the rings and she won't show a nip.

And if she's supposed to be a photographic model that will already write her off as being prudish for shoots. Anyone who watched 'dirty sexy things' on C4 recently will see how far being prudish will get you in the modelling industry.

Can anyone confirm that this was in fact for a location shoot up north as I know their shooting a ton of it up there right now. If so, she was only picked because they were looking for regional actresses to fill the scenes. If they flew her out to L.A well that would be a different story altogether.

How would they know she turned it down unless she told them? Seriously like. Think it through. The Herald doesn't spend its time keeping tabs on what modelphysios are sent back from acting gigs. They have to be told. I don't have a problem with her not doing the nudity, but she's not exactly a retiring victim. They asked her to do something that hadn't been agreed, she said no, then her or her agent rang the Herald to drum up some publicity off it. That's no crime, certainly, but she instigated the public debate on it.

Most people would be embarassed if their sister was hawking things on grafton street in skimpy clothes, I'm not sure how that's relevant.

I"m not calling her a fame hungry monster, I'm just saying the likelihood is that she wanted people to talk about her and gain publicity. It doesn't make her a monster, it makes her someone who wants to get ahead in her career. It's a clever thing to do, but it certainly also absolves the good folk of AH of talking about her motivations as though she didn't ask to be talked about.

What 'top role' had she been cast for I wonder? I've been following the casting of Season 2 characters religiously and haven't heard her name until now.

Interestingly I did hear a similar story from an extra (word of mouth so take with a pinch of salt obviously) who was picked for the scenes they're filming in Croatia- apparently the studio told the extras there wasn't going to be any nudity but then changed things and said that women would have their breasts exposed. So it's possible there was some confusion regarding nudity and all that.

Top role though? I doubt that... stupid decision? Meh, if she doesnt want to go naked she doesn't want to go naked.

Edit: D'oh, just read which role she was supposed to be playing. It is less of an extra role and more of a background character I guess.

Also, as a photographer, I can genuinely say I wouldn't be happy having to photograph her face. Her lips are weird and skewed and her eyes are big but there's not a brightness there, also a bit far apart. He nose isn't really showing in full profile but looks like it kind of "beaks" a bit at the end,more or less ruling her out for full profile shots. At 5.10 she could potentially be a catwalk model but she wouldn't get any high fashion photographer chasing her down at all, especially when you look at the other girls at assets.

If that all sounds a bit mean, well that's what girls are signed to assets for, to be judged harshly on how they look. Plus GOT was obviously looking for some "wench" types and she has the face for it....

Fact remains she could have been looking at getting into an awesome tv show and who would even have to know about it. People go naked on Gok Wans shows every week and it's celebrated, she projected that this would be a disrespectful to herself, nobody else said it was. She made the headlines all by herself and for whoever "chases" her for work now it's not going to be Vogue. Also she looks way older than 21 and she isn't likely to start looking younger anytime soon. Silly billy.

Oh and this is her Assests profile. These are the "new models" which means they stand the most chance of getting cut if they don't get work coming in. WORK THAT THEY TAKE.

Have a look at her and then look at the permanent models, the standard is very high and that's just for Ireland. Models who want a career have to appeal to the entire fashion spectrum. She's pandering to the wrong crowd. The people who will respect her for not taking the role are not the people who will offer her next job.

The only scene's where there are girls standing around nude in Game of Thrones that I remember are when the girls in the Brothels are doing it, so she isn't too classy to play a whore, just a whore that shows her tits? Bad move on her part, it's not like it's a big deal, they are just boobs.

It really is an industry based on who you know that will get you places
