    I am looking for a laptop for my son to replace one that has reached end of life. I am trying to persuade him to buy a laptop instead of a netbook. Usage will be light enough, just some internet browsing, skyping, music, etc. No major need for a very large hard drive.

    Spotted this one on Littlewoods http://www.littlewoodsireland.ie/compaq-156-inch-amd-v-series-v160-laptop-cq52-250ea/970296704.prd?browseToken=%2fb%2f4294957802 (not where I would normally look for a laptop).
    It's priced at €309 but I have a 20% discount code that brings the cost down to just €248.

    I'm really looking to spend as little as possible.

    Any thoughts?
