Just got the call myself about 10 minutes ago, i did the phone interview on the 29th of july and assesment on the 11th of august, i'm absolutely delighted, the last 3 weeks of waiting absolutely killed me, really hope i get this job now,
Best of luck to everyone else waiting

    Well done mate!!

I was talking to Ian and he said that he won't be doing the interviews because he is considered to know all of us on a personal level and that Leanne will call me tomorrow or Monday with further information.

but what , you reckon they will make us do those online assesments again in front of them or more like, heres your cv tell me what did u do in the past ect.. but if that would be too far fetched as for apprentienceship??

Yeah I can only imagine it is about your interests, knowledge for the job and how you think you can contribute etc now that is a vague start but it could be around those lines.....

I'd say it's pretty much like any other job interview to be honest .... bit like the phone interview except more in depth ...

usual, tell us about yourself, why are you interested in the job, if you have a van full of tools how likely are you to murder a customer with them etc...

know a bit about eircom, your motives for going for the job and have a look up on the usual HR ****ty questions (working through a conflict, examples of teamwork etc... there's about 10 basic questions which the other million and one versions of them are derived from, have a google for interview skills to get an idea)

and have some knowledge about eircom, history, network, some technology standards, what they're hoping to do in the future etc..

oh and best thing, be yourself, relax and don't do yourself an injustice of being nervous as hell, and if you don't know a question (especially any technical ones you may be hit with) don't try and wing it lol

and best of luck to everyone, only did my assesment recently, so hoping to get a call next week.

    thanks axiom.

TBH im not worried by technical questions as i worked in telecoms before (on the phone but as a last level of tech support - testing line, sending engineers ect.) so i do have some theory now i want practice. But its a fair point to look up the eircoms history and plans for the future

    once again thanks for that

more to that i was already on several interviews so i do have a knoledge how they are done, but i just thought that after all that checking on us , what was there left to check . But i suppose the proper interview needs to be done at one stage

I wouldnt think the technical stuff would be too in depth, but you never know, could turn into one of those interviews where they push you until you say "I don't know"

I doubt they have an individual profile on each of us and are gonna ask questions in the areas we scored low in, then again you never know, be quite hilarious if they did go to all that trouble ...

knowing something about the companies past and goals for the future is an absolute must
