Part time work

    Is there much chance of obtaining part time work for during the week around DCU?

    In the campus itself? theres not many jobs but you can apply for jobs in the bar or library.
    Most people apply for jobs toward the city center, a better range there.

    Yeah it'll be around the city centre I'll apply but I wont be around at the weekends. Is there much chance of getting week work only?

    Not really many around I hear, same as any town people just apply to every shop/restaurant/cafe/pub in the area and hope for the best.

    There's a few shops on Ballymun road and a heap of stuff up in the omni, they'd probably be your best bet.

    All I can think of on campus that hire students is the nubar.

    Unlikely if it's retail work you're looking for. I worked part time when I was doing a PLC and part time now and I had to be available at weekends because it's the busiest time, in fact I don't think I've ever had a weekend off when I've been working part time.
