Hey, I'm not that braindead I have external hard drives and USBs and other technical shizz to beat the band, but all of the ports in the old computer are banjaxed and they malfunction when you plug anything in

Ethernet or wifi on it?

EDIT: were you making Data CD's or Audio CD's? If you used Data Cd's, they might be reclaimable as USB's.

I'm the same. I have one harddrive, maybe 4 years old that I'm terrified is going to implode the next time I go to turn it on. There is 320gb of music, photos, movies, software on it. My dad has another harddrive that I have claimed a 250gb partition formatted in FAT32 just for playing movies through the Playstation/BluRay player. I also have a new 500gb harddrive that has nothing on as of yet, but is for future back ups, seeing as the 320 is now full. I also need to buy a 500gb to upgrade my playstation in the near future as its harddrive is more or less full, and I don't want to delete file saves. >.<

I bought a 1TB Seagate External from Argos for €99. Perhaps I could've gotten better value in New York, but meh

Its not as complicated as it sounds. My dad's harddrive with the movies is left constantly plugged into the DVD player so that is irrelevant. I basically have one desktop 4yo harddrive that is full and a new portable one I haven't used yet.
