Changing push/pull mechanism of back yard gate

Hi, I recently changed my car, and unable to close the gate in the back yard, as the car is bigger than previous one, it's a metal gate and to open it I have to pull it towards me and push it back to close it i.e. Gate strikes car, what work do I need to do the gate to have the opposite effect, so I can push gate out and…

Can you swap the hinges and latch from one pillar to the other?
