Some help with flv thumbnails please.

Hope this is the right section. I previously installed K-Lite codec pack so i could view thumbnails for flv files BUUUUUUT its stopped working. I think this happens sometimes with windows updates, but no matter how I configured it I couldn't get it to display them so I've removed it (K-lite). Does anyone have another tried…

Actually fixed it just now. Apparently VLC media player is needed so I re-installed it. I also added the following to the registry,

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.flv\ShellEx\{BB2E617C-0920-11d1-9A0B-00C04FC2D6C1}]
@="{c5a40261-cd64-4ccf-84cb-c394da41d590}"

Don't edit the registry before backing it up. So once you have the K-Lite basic codec pack (7.6.0 is the most recent one I think) flv files will display thumbnails. YEEES!
