It seems they're far better off than those who ordered 16gb anyway.

Fnac High Tech Hello everyone, Good news for those who ordered a 32 GB Touchpad We were able to finally get the stock required for orders placed on availability can still be honored. Regarding the touchpad 16 GB, unfortunately we can not fulfill orders. However, if excess Touchpad 32 GB, we will get back to you next week for you to benefit primarily, if desired.

Is it possible to "pre order" if the 32G becomes available?

Has anyone had any success trying to change 16GB to 32GB orders?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,682 ✭✭✭LookingFor

Does a Argos text telling you your reservation is available to collect actually mean anything? Tried calling them to double check but no answer. Can't get to them til later anyway, but would be nice to know if the trip would be wasted or not.

(This is Blanch Argos btw, if anyone's been there today?)

    Onh the fnac thing

people asking can the change from 16 to 32, really?, whats your first impression.

I've a 32 order in with them and I hold very little hope.

    "
    Dear Customer,

You want to order a HP Tablet Touchpad on our website, order placed, as shown in the item description, subject to availability.

The sale of this item has had considerable success and we have not been able to provide your product at the moment.

However, as soon as we restocked by our supplier in the coming days, we will proceed with the shipment of your order. A mail delivery confirmation you will confirm the shipment.

Please kindly accept our deep apologies for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience. We strive to satisfy you.
    "

the the info about the 32gb order being honored is sounding nice, BUT i have no new email from them, order status has not changed.

read from that what you will but in reality, I'd sooner believe in Santy,

After all thats happened, its been mental.

amazon.com sunday orders, canceled, amazon.co.uk monday orders canceled. missed Harvey noormals by 5 minutes(hurts the most), Argos orders sunday(muppets every store duiffarent policy),

last hope FNAC :D it's been great.

    Latest from Expansys:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

With the bank holiday weekend coming up here in the UK we wanted to
let you know the latest on your order for the HP TouchPad.

Regrettably, we are not yet in a position to confirm if and when we
will receive more stock. We are still working very closely with all
our suppliers making every effort we can to secure more supply.

Unfortunately, it is not only a matter of locating available stock,
but also securing it at a cost that allows us to offer it as close as
possible to the new lower prices everyone wants.

We would like to reiterate our promise that you will be first to know
when the stock situation becomes resolved, and that we will do
everything we can to fulfil your order.

We sincerely apologise for the time this is taking and wish you a
    very enjoyable bank holiday.

    Kind regards,

What's this all about, I thought HP had set the firesale prices? Are suppliers up along the chain adding a bit extra for themselves?
