I've been wondering what could spice up the game a bit for a while, I've noticed most people have lost interest. I think a nice way to promote the pvp aspect would be to have two rival countries at war with each other. Maybe have 2-3 small towns in each of the country areas. Say you spawn in a newbie area and after a day or two you pick a side and go and make your house in one of that country's towns.
Something like this:
Yellow = Towns
Black = Newbie area
Blue = Blue Nation
Red = Red Nation
So everything in green would be free for all PvP. People from the same country can't attack each other in the Red or Blue areas, but Reds can attack Blues and vice versa. No PvP at all in the black area.
This could lead to some fun raiding rival territory etc. It also makes wandering in the open much more dangerous as anyone can attack you. Maybe bumping up monster difficulty would help as well. What are people's thoughts on this? Too complicated?0 -

As an idea, it works, and has been done very well on other servers, but they usually have a huge userbase, NaW for instance has over 300 approved members on the server, and 2600 on the forum (obviously regularly active numbers would be less than half that but still high). I don't think we have the numbers for more than 3 towns, let alone nations.0 -
