Just a heads up to people. I'm in NY for the summer and I've just ordered 2 of these for $220. HP have discontinued the Touchpad this week and are now letting them go for $99 (16GB) and $149 (32GB). Just got call from hubbie. No go with argos in ashbourne. No stock available, and no stock available anywhere by the looks of it. So looks like they're honouring reservations.

So ... if anyone has a spare reservation, for anywhere, would love - willing to travel :cool:

it says on argos.ie that the HP touchpads are not available for home delivery and cannot be reserved for store pick up..

Just got off phone to Expansys over the double charge of my credit card and the girl I spoke to (Zoe) said that the price will be dropped on the Touchpad. They are just waiting on HP to confirm! Sounded like she was mad busy too!

I have been charged twice but have only one pre-order according to her. My bank said the money has not actually left the Credit Card yet when I called them, it's just a pre-authorization.

In ashbourne they said they had no stock, and couldnt' see stock in any other local argos, i.e. swords, etc. Didnt' mention anything about needing a reservation.

Just back from Argos Liffey Valley. I was told that they have no stock currently at any argos sites - stock is on order for arrival at central warehouse for 11th Sept. It will then take approx 4 to 5 days to make it out in the individual stores. Won't take any bookings on this stock until it arrives at the warehouse.

was in Longford Extra store lad checked the computer said no stock and they not due to get any stock so i think if ya had a reservation code that me be the only way your gonna get one

True but the barrier was halfway up and an employee walked by me. I asked him and he gave me that info.
