Smart move from them, playing dumb , pretending they know nothing about the reduction

i bet they will reduce them once they see nobody collects the ones already reserved

In England at least you can contact Argos and get them to extend your reservation by quoting the number. there's also @argoshelpers on twitter, you can DM them.

I think I am going to cancel my expansys order now!

"I would like to cancel this order as it is currently on sale in other shops for the cheaper price. If you were able to meet this price, I would gladly give you the business and perhaps even purchase two."

Bit stupid and cheeky but they cant really say that I ordered one at the higher price, I hope.

What is going on with amazon eh? Not like them to leave us out in the cold like this. Any statement by them regarding orders that were made last night for £89?

So who else will be attacking elara at 6.00pm?

I reckon Argos will let all the reservations expire before reducing the price to 'reset' their systems. I also reckon they have now done a recce of how much stock they actually have and reservations + walk-in purchases=stock levels to minimise customer unhappiness.

Nothing changed, just wont be at a computer for a while after 5 and I dont want to be worrying about being charged 400 euro.

I am getting a mate to try and get one for me on the elara site.

Read the other day that they wont reduce it because they are releasing their own tablet soon, and why would they allow a competitor an advantage of selling on their inventory

No, a few of us last night including myself got to order the 16gb version for £89, so they did reduce it for about 15 minutes I think it was, but it still has no despatch date. Thought they would have said something by now on whats going on since the touchpad is the main electronic gadget at the moment.

So what will they do with their stock? Dump it in a skip around the back of the Amazon warehouse?

Not looking good for the people who have yet to get one, stock seems to be drying up gradually now, at least for the €99 price. :(

Fingers crossed our amazon orders from last night go through, and over on HUKD, a few people are saying that HP are sending amazon more stock currently to meet the demand for the product off the amazon site. So heres hoping that is true!

Why would you hope thats true, Amazon have had them up at crazy money all day long. Bear in mind this is a tablet with obsolete OS and zero future support.... for the price your better off adding a ton and getting a Xoom.

Resistive touch screen... ewww... no thanks.

And thats not even going into the rest of the specs which are terrible in comparison to the touchpad.
