To all who missed out, these are already being resold on Amazon and no doubt on ebay too. The prices are £279 for a 32GB and £249 for a 16GB - you've got to admire them.

Doubtless these will be freely available over the coming weeks at less than £200 as I'm sure many purchasers were of the same mind.

And let's face it, a week ago even the £279 and £249 currently being quoted would have made the bargain alerts forum, maybe not with quite as much action

Thats gone now, they removed the "Contact" paragraph, very dangerous to spend over the odds on a device thats in firesale mode. Not worth the risk, i already have a stoooooopid mortgage:D

Nah, even if they pulled a fast one you could send it back under the cooling off period, and it would cost them more in the long run because then they'd have tonnes of refurbs that needed to be checked for working order.

    WHAT PRICE ?

Can people pls publish price also ?

Can they hold our payment in "limbo" for 2 weeks though? I thought they had only a limited time to complete the transaction or cancel it.

No sure about if the charged ur card already but if they didnt charge your card already, then yeah, they can easily wait for 2 weeks. in the mean time i think you have every right to cancel.

A few years back i had an order with a french company, 3 months it took.
i waited. cos it was a rare product & they were the only public reseller of it.

Misco stock checker is useless. I have several cancelled orders from stuff that got hammered after being posted on hukd, but that was still showing as "in stock" when I ordered

Another update from expansys, they dont have them in stock

we will confirm all backorder once we will have any update whatsoever about this situation as if we won’t be able to get them at the better price, there is no point for to buy them so we will cancel the backorder and discontinue the product since they will be unsellable at full price.

50 minus one each for staff, how many people work for elara?

Have to hand it to expansys - they have been great with the frequent honest updates.

FNAC site say they don't charge CC until dispatch. Can't understand how peoples cards have been charged and they heard nothing??

its not guaranteed that they ll be 99 and 129
dabs had them for a little higher
something tells me that elara will do the same and they ll add a few quid on top of that

With regards FNAC i spoke to my bank earlier because i was worried the money was missing from my account and the order had not yet been shipped. The bank said that theres been a request for the money but that is all. Its not in my account but FNAC havent taken it yet either. its kinda in limbo at the minute!
