    This is what I have too. Card was charged right after I bought last night at 20:59. Status changed to order preparation this morning.

    Hope it does mean we got in in time and wont have to wait until 5th of Sep for more stock!

    Means nothing, look back through the thread, someone phoned them and they are still trying to secure stock and sy they will ship on the 5th. sept. if they get the stock.

    I ordered myself but not expecting to get it...

    Please note that the Touchpad has been put back as on preorder as we are currently out of stock.
    We currently do not have any information as per the price.
    If you already placed an order please note that the price will then be updated on your order.
    If too much is charged, you would then have a refund of the difference
    As soon as HP comes back to us, we will of course inform you via email

    That's their own fault. You should only post that stuff after your own order has gone through. I don't think anyone would call you a selfish asshole for doing that.

    I paid with PayPal and it's still "pending". I have the order preparation crap too all day. Hope this stuff about the September 5th is lies.

    but this could happen with a new OS that's being constantly updated - sure the newer OS will have support to patch it and fix it... if right now someone found an exploit on Android or iOS they could have all our log in details before the devs even realised never mind have a patch for it...

    sure it won't have the support to fix it but once you hear about the exploit then take a plan of action to avoid having your details stolen or whatever....

    it's a risk I'm willing to take for a €100 machine... we all know the downsides to buying unsupported hardware but at this price I'll take the risk and keep an eye out on tech news sites to find out about any exploits that may pose a threat to me...

    I'm the one who they told shipment would be on Sep 5th if they can procure stock. I bought at 20:10.

    I don't there's any real chance of that. Even if they do it by accident, they are required to give you a refund if you send it back.

    They won't ship or charge you without confirmation. If they do they are in breach of contract.
