    pre order at full price?

Yes, but they will contact you when the stock is released & will not charge you until you confirm the order thereafter

Enough to handle a normal days business without having to spend huge amount of their profits on it.

    Pretty obvious.

What the hell kind of server capacity do these idiot companies have?

enough to deal with a steady flow of business - not enough to deal with a couple thousand nerds spamming the F5 key on their laptops furiously for hours on end

Really dont trust expansys not taking the full price of one if i was to order now

IF I get one then thats exactly what it will be used for... saves me carrying a heavy laptop everywhere!

Exactly,, I was lucky I got one in HN yesterday, well worth the 99 quid in my opinion, its a nice piece of tech. I will probably only use it for web browsing and emails so its far from the "dead tablet" some people here are raving on about!

Called Car Phone warehouse earlier and was told that all their stock was sold in the UK.

In fairness, they probably did. HP probably did allocate that many to them before the Price Drop. Then when Demand sky rocketed, they sent them to other retailers.

I rang and they told me that I would be charged whatever the price was when i ordered...so if you order now you pay full whack.

It worked for me - fingers crossed they will price match HN/Elara et all or I will just cancel order when they confirm the stock is ready for release

I used to work in CPW, I'm hitting up my contacts to find out what the story is for sure.

If so, the buyer has the option of refusing to proceed with the purchase. Surely they know nobody is going to buy these at full price

Redundant depends on what your going to be using it for! If checking emails and just general web browsing then their far from redundant! Someones bitter!

I have a laptop and phone for checking emails/browsing...

Good deal don't get me wrong if you can get it but people are literally wasting their days and nights looking for these judging by this thread, guarantee you that these will be offloaded in the coming weeks/months by people who've bought multiples.

"No decision has been taken by HP Ireland/UK to writedown stock? " :pac:

So I guess all the retailers selling them at €99 or £89 are doing it for the craic and taking a loss.
