Can you repeat a single module internally?

If you've failed, say, one module in a year but in order to repeat you must partake in continuous assessment, can you repeat the given module the following year without re-registering...?

By this I mean not doing it as an exam only or external repeat student, but someone who's actually taking the module within the university with CA, lectures and so forth?

Short version: Can you repeat a single module internally without re-registering?

inb4 you can't; A mate of mine is doing this with a couple of CA modules this year and says it's only costing him 200 quid per module?

Yes you can. No idea about fees though.

Cheers, that's all I really needed to know for now. Helpful as always!

not sure if the fees are the same, I had to repeat one (it was all continuous assessment) and i paid 435 at the time

Do you also have to pay the standard registration fee of 2,000 euro when repeating a module internally/externally?

Seems a little harsh if you're only doing one or two modules.

no , if your internal repeats are just in 1 semester you pay half years reg (you only pay for the semester) , externally - no idea if a reg fee is paid , i think you just pay the exam fees

As I see. Fair enough I suppose. Cheers!

Does anyone know anything about grants?

If I repeat first year, I know I won't be entitled to my grant that year. But when I get into second year, will I get it back?

You will indeed, assuming you're still entitled to it :)

Assuming it's not done away with by the Axis of Evil that is.
