I bought a car recently and the NCT disc was missing. It's due to be NCT'd again in November and I'm wondering should I get a replacement disc for €12.70....or do I have to pay since it wasn't me that lost it?

Or should I book an NCT and put it through early and have the cert til November 2013? I'm afraid that the car will need work if I put it through the test and I'm a little short on cash at the moment.

    What he said ^^^

You can test it 3 months early. That's now. Pay the €50 and they will tell you what work needs doing. You'll have 28 days to get the car sorted, presuming it fails :)
