How to change VPN on laptop to view tv online outside region?

Would anyone know how to change the VPN on my laptop to allow me to watch Hulu.com and uk channels like channel 5 ,BBC I player etc. that are blocked outside the regions? I have come across a few sites that you need to sign up to and pay a fee but was wondering if there was a free site or any other way around watching…

Not sure about VPN's but you can find proxies that should enable you to trick the sites that you're in the region?

I don't use any so I can't link sites...........apologies.
