Recently switched over from eircom broadband to upc broadband. better speeds. which is good. But noticed one thing. Certain sites (lets just use the word trackers) know my ip. so i cant sign up again. (in a roundabout way we know what I am talking about :pac: )

is there anyway I can change this? ... it would seem everytime I used eircom broadband I was using a different Ip.

Try unplugging your UPC modem for a few minutes, and seeing what address it gets when it logs in next

I have a fixed IP address with VF (I asked for it). When I enquired about UPC I was told their IP addresses are dynamic

You could use hotspot shield or something similar when using these sites, your speeds will take a small hit but once you have the fileyou need jsut load it up and turn off hotspot shield :)

UPC's IP's are dynamic, but rarely change. Mine has only changed a handful of times over the past few years.

So, you've been banned from some service, and you're looking for help here about how to circumvent that ban. Nice try, but not going to work here.
