Im really interested to see who you'd pick for that. Just cod or all machinima directors?

I don't know what Machinima do be thinking when they give some people contracts..people getting them with 1-3000 views a video and others getting over 5 times that number are left out in the cold.

That killstreak reveal video/powerpoint presentation all but confirmed in my head that IW/Activision/etc. are moving away from gun vs gun action and instead are going down the totally wrong route for the series. You're never going to achieve a balanced format with so many variables but instead they've lumped in pretty much everything into it and massively increase the likelihood of something breaking the careful balance of the game.

Assault, Support, Specialist reads like classes from Battlefield, instead of new ideas for killstreaks, they've re-branded ideas from others; the robot from homefront, the uav from bfbc2, upgraded the UAVs as a substitute for the blackbird. Sure why not throw in the energy sword from Halo, or have Commander Shepard in the Normandy do a strafing run on your enemies. Where are the original ideas that haven't been blatantly borrowed or rehashed? How the hell can having say 6 perks at once work out to be balanced when up against someone with 3? The best games that have and are still played by fans have always got the balance right, through careful tweaking and testing to make sure that the multitude of potential combinations in the game that no single one ruled all others.

The COD series used to be one of the finest but if that leak is accurate and judging how quickly it was taken down for copyright infringement it seems to be true. I honestly feel sickened with their current path for the series.
The more I know about this game, the more I'm disappointed, when I bought black ops on release and had no hopes or expectations for the game; now I have no hope for the series.

Whilst I'd withhold total reservation on MW3 till it's out and I've played it, the leaked kill/pointstreaks in particular is not what I'd want. I can't remember the exact amount after watching the video but there is an awful lot more than what was in MW2.

Here's what little I can remember:
People revere COD4 because it was skill with guns being the top dog, in MW2 they moved away from that and now from the leaked kill/pointstreaks list it seems MW3 is even further removed. It's much more difficult to have a balanced game when there are so many variables, rather than aim for a balanced approach and perhaps lower the amount of killstreaks, they've gone in the opposite direction, one that is much harder to get a good balance in.

COD4 it was guns first and foremost, then perks, then killstreaks.
MW2 it was 1st killstreaks 2nd perks 3rd guns
MW3 seems to be repeating the mistakes of the past.

Dice went back to basics with Battlefield 3 and haven't gone down the Bad Company 2 route. IW/Activision seem to be moving away from what made them so popular today.

If they done fúck up MW3, I could see it being another Winter/Spring of MW3 but a summer of MW2.
