I was with Sky up to a few years ago. Thinking of getting reconnected. The old box died a couple of years back and I have since replaced the standard LNB with a quad one. If I go back do I have to go through the whole install stuff again or do they do a diy set up like UPC and just send me the hardware and card to look after myself?

No. Unless the freesat channel line up has changed since I had it on about 30 minutes ago. I want certain channels. Freesat is not an alternative to that and is not a catch all alternative to sky, in fact it provides none of the channels I want to get sky for.

AFAIK, they won't allow you to a DIY yourself or send you a box. I recently got a replacement box and all the engineer did was swap it in - could have done that myself.

Maybe if you ring Sky they might sign you on as a new customer and you might get a deal?
