How can you root for this buffoon......i hope S8 is the last, his actions in the finale were disgusting!!!!!!!!!!! :mad:

steady on chap. I dont think anyone here agreed with how S7 ended. I thought it was a pretty bad ending myself. S8 has got to be where it all finishes by the looks of things alright. Im looking forward to seeing how that happens.

Hopefully the writers can turn things around, though I'm not optimistic that they will. They dismiss some of the reaction as being from haters, which is fair enough, but just because people complained doesn't mean they hate the show.

House has always been a douchebag, at least outwardly. Through his actions he has shown to care somewat about his colleagues, ex-wife, and patients.

Any word on whether this is the final season?

I read an interview with David Shore hinting that Fox wanted another (and he'd be keen on one himself), so probably not.

I don't think the final action was "disgusting".
In fact, having a family member who snapped, I can very well see why 'he' done what he done. And that realistically it happens.

I didn't think the writers done well with the whole huddy theme, so, for it to end badly was expected.

I am looking forward to season 8 (not because I think they'll do well by it, but because I think Hugh Laurie is a fantastic actor).

They wrote Cuddy out of the show due to her contract demands. Thats where the "car through the window" scene came from.

They needed a plausible ending to her stint on the show. Have him do something so bad that the audience will 'buy' the story reason why she won't be there next season. She can never forgive him etc etc etc.

To be honest, from season 4 onwards the dynamic of the relationship between them changed and the Cuddy character treated him quite badly. House has always been an ass but in my eyes she got what she deserved.

I don't see why he should feel any remorse about this. He is not "scum" as you put it Richard. He felt remorse and guilt over Amber's death even though he was only responsible indirectly, he still apologised to Wilson about it. The same with Kutner. Not responsible at all and yet the guilt is there. They both showed up first in his hallucinations for a reason. Thats remorse. You are only seeing what you want to see Richard if you are missing those bits.

Only thing he should feel sorry about is that he missed her with the car. Take some driving lessons House

I read in some review of the finale was filmed before they were certain the show itself would be renewed, or Cuddy was leaving. I'm guessing since the negotiations for some of the other cast began earlier in the year they had some inkling of her leaving.
