Is Station Road, Blarney, Cork a good area?

I am thinking of buying a house on station rd blarney that is for sale. There are a lot of houses in blarney seems to be a good bit cheaper than other parts of cork. Any one of good/bad experiences living in blarney. Is it good place to raise kids?

Note the railway (noise?). Station may or may not happen in the next 10 years.
