Meh, it's fun to ridicule and all, but all I want is to know what yer man's up to?

Where's Paddy O'Gorman? He'd get the story out of him.

Op why didnt u pull over and offer to help him.

I'm sure Jesus would be glad to see people weren't focusing too much on all that "love one another, be charitable" stuff, and were instead performing meaningless acts that do no good to anyone using a replica of the object he died on.

Good to see some people have their priorities straight.

I'm not going to debate the merits or lack of merits of what he is doing

but in fairness it does seem to get peoples attention.....perhaps hes raising awareness..........................of something...an explanatory plaque or tabard would be helpful

I would've handed him a bottle of water asking "Here, give me some Chatneuf Du Pape."

He was spotted in Carlow the other day. He's looking for redemption or something apparently.

He seems to have the technique nailed. I guess he's setting out to challenge the social stigmata surrounding the practice.

He'll find redemption a lot quicker if he ditches the cross, it's bound to be slowing him down!!:D

That's true, but I think the only people who'd respond positively to it would be people who're religious anyway.

I just think if he wants to preach Jesus' teachings (and though I'm not religious the basic message is a good one) he'd be better off practising them. It'd be more likely to convince people who're skeptical or non-practising Catholics, and showing the caring side of Christianity would help to counter the negative press caused by the way the Church has behaved.

Though granted, going around doing good deeds and being charitable might not attract enough attention to get a thread on AH!
