    Hello lads,
My two sealed lead batteries are nearly finished.I was making enquiries about the 22 ah tracer lithium batteries. About 260 seems to be the run of them. The 14 ah isnt much cheaper about 170-210.Has anyone any experience on either . Cheers.

I would highly recommend it - You wont believe the weight difference until you have it in your hand ! I recently made the exact change over - I went with the 22ah lithium and it is a serious bit of kit, I also bought a variable tracer light as well to go with it , I have been out twice with it (Maybe 3.5 hours in total) and there is still half the power left in the battery. Try Sportsden for a price, I got a very good deal there with free delivery. Hope this helps:)

The lithium ones are 4-5 times lighter compare to the same power SLA ones, also the duration of say, 14Ah lithium will be longer than 14Ah Sealed lead one. I think 10Ah lithium tracer (with the bit of the P7 help) will be more than enough for a average nights lamping.
Have a look at that comparisons on the page here: http://www.deben.com/lithium-ion/12v-10ah-lithium-ion-battery-pack-with-fuel-gauge.html

    Hope this helps a bit

    Cheers lads,
You have put my mind at ease. Its great to get first hand opinions from lithium users.I recently read in a review [which i cant retrieve] that it prolongs the lithium batteries life if you dont run it dead as with the slb's. Maybe someone can shed some light on this .

i got a 10ah lithium-ion and was gettin about 4-5hrs of a lamping session out of it with a lightforce 170(100 watt bulb),i sold it and upgraded to the 22ah version,
you wont regret spendin the extra dosh for it
