What's with teh ghey and alcohol consumption?

I drink pretty much everything except cider.
If I'm going on a mad one, I'll drink vodka. If I'm having a normal night in, it's cans of beer, and if I'm going for one or two it's a pint(s) of Guinness.

Almost every gay man I know only drinks vodka. Has this been anyone else's experience? What do you drink?

Weird thread I know; but it just jumped into my head there.

In the Poll select the drink that you prefer the most, as opposed to the one you drink the most.

I drink vodka and im straight its just a better drink to have than lager or cider,its tastier and less liquid in your system too.

Don't drink anymore but I used to enjoy a nice cool budweiser now and again. I graduated to beer from the likes of Smirnoff Ice and WKD.

Hate beer. Used drink vodka and Red Bull all the time but it's too expensive. I'll occasionally get a cocktail if there's a special occasion and I'm in a place that sells them.

Then when it comes to shots I'd either go for tequila or apple sours. Maybe Jaegar at a push. NEVER sambuca.

The dragon does an offer on vodka, so I think that's big factor!

Also, people (not just gay), drink vodka in clubs because pints pulled in clubs tend not to be nicest!

If you drink in the gay pubs (Front Lounge or Panti, you will see the majority will be drinking pints).

It was hard to decide between vodka and beer, but I chose vodka since it's the one I try to stick to on nights out. I have beer at house parties or at home (like now

) because I find the bathroom breaks too annoying when out and about.

I have tried an almond white wine while in the US. I would have absolutely filled my case with it on the way home if I didnt need my clothes.

Can't see the pole via the phone... It depends on the situation. If I'm having a drink at home with mum or that - White wine NOT Chardonnay! Occasionally red.
If I'm drinking out with mam it's brandy and ginger ale
On a night out or put with anyone else I stick to budweiser - better value than a piddling glass of wine

Any lager is my preference because it doesn't floor me like most drink.

Rarely have vodka.

When it's mixed well with something it's very enjoyable, i like the strong taste and i'm able to handle it quite well
i do enjoy cider too but i can't be having pints when out in a club or anything, id be off to the toilet every 5 minutes.

i'm never having jaegerbombs again, if you want to know what amnesia is like, have a good few.

i like wine with a meal or something, can be very enjoyable when coupled with the right food.

however, every beer i have ever tasted makes me heave, rotten stuff

I have noticed that actually, not all the gay guys I know drink vodka but a high number do, two drink it exclusively. Kinda odd. But there are guys who drink cider and beer. As for myself I like...er...vodka and coke, but I also enjoy Kopparberg. Big fan of cocktails but way too expensive. As for beer and most cider I can't stand them. That's annoying if I'm ever in a pub I don't have much to drink.

Vodka

In the pre-recession days, it was Vodka and Redbull all the way. Then I got poor and had to change my drinking habits:(. Now I drink Kepplers or Kopperberg (4 cans of Kepplers for €5! Yum)

I never go into pubs during the summer, just go to festivals every couple of weeks and this summer I've started to get a taste for Buckfast again:o...... Hadn't drank it since my youth. I know it has a rep as a skangers drink, but I'm not a skanger...Honest!!

Guinness on both counts. Though I rarely drink these days.
Far too easy to drink, had 9 last time I was out... so very very sick later that night and the next day *shudder*

I love Captain Morgan's and coke but I tend to end up drinking beer 'cause it's cheaper. Love me some bavaria with blackcurrant.

I stay away form vodka mostly, doesn't agree with me but if I do drink it I mix it with cranberry.

I go through phases of loving and hating cider. I tend to drink mixed berry and pear more than apple.

Favourite drink in the world is probably a pina colada but they're rare enough in my experience. As for shots tend to have jager or occasionally tequila.

I drink wine when I'm drinking with my mammy.

Edit: also love me some Guinnes but my mum has it rammed into my head that's it's ridiculously fattening.

I prefer spirits, mainly vodka or Southern Comfort, but sometimes Jameson witha mixer of some description, but I would normally have a few beers first on a night out.

Cider

Usually beer at the start of the night (bottles) and then jameson when we get to a club. Had Captain and coke all night on friday night and i thought i was going to die the following day! Way too sweet and awful hangover!
