Buying an iPhone in Hong Kong...

Hey guys, I'm going to be in Hong Kong soon and I am thinking of buying an iPhone 4. It costs roughly 367 euro for a sim-free one at the Apple Hong Kong on-line store. So if there are similar prices with re-sellers in the city I might purchase.

But will it work if I put an Irish sim-card into it when I'm back in Ireland? Or will it be locked? Expensive to unlock? I have no idea so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If it is factory unlocked it will work with any Irish sim, have sim with you to test it while in hong kong. My old 3GS was from hong kong worked a treat.
