Strange , it has autodownloaded all the 3 APNs but is saying "mobile network not available when I try and call anyone. Vodafone sims working fine. Do you think it could be a ROM/setting problem ?

Does the ustream app work on this phone or do you need flash?

I tried to use Skyfire to get around the flash problem but it's rubbish tbh.

No - it isnt connecting to any mobile network with the 3 SIM. I just tried an Orange UK sim and it connected to their (roaming) network.

    That's odd, don't understand.

Must be a problem with the sim card then.

Must be - maybe my 3 SIMS that I have aren't compatible. I'd love to know why though, Thanks for the help all the same.

Hi, as shadowninty said, use 7-zip or winrar, that's a windows error, see below:

I have just switched from Portuguese spring to ginger stir fry beta 19. Nice improvement. My camcorder which used to crash the phone now works and sound over headphones can be tured up to a higher volume. Things just seem to work better in general.

The only thing I miss is the widget in the notification bar which allowed me to enable and disable wifi,3g,gps, bluetooth etc. I have tried widgetsoid and I can't set it up to work as good as in Portuguese spring.

The official leaked GB ROM is in no way bleeding edge. Stablest ROM apparently

So should I go for it then ?

    Hows it done ?

Theres a fine long thread on android.modaco.com on the topic, but is there a guide without all the wrinkles ?

Anyways, is the plan to gen1 to gen2 upgrade and then download GSF as before ?

You can do that, or use the all in one GSF Gen2 TPT :D
