Is there a function for this? I'm editing an excel data file for statistical analysis in SPSS and I need to create specific numbers of duplicate records (each record corresponds to a row with 20 columns). In column A I have the number of duplicates I require - is there an easy function to do this or do I have to autofill manually the numbers of records?

    Thanks

can't you just drag down from the bottom right corner for 20 lines and select copy cells?

    Could you do:

    =$A$1

drag it down then if you change A1 all the others will change?
