Segregate children into different schools at the age of 12 by doing a test, so they can be in an enviorment with students of same standard. Retest at 15

People who have bad criminal records should not be entitled to benifits. More prisions should be built house scumbags

Good idea. It might have improved your spelling and punctuation.

Also, I don't believe in luck. It's a load of bollox to me. You decide your own future through your own decisions.

Although I appreciate when someone tells me ''good luck'' before an exam or whatever I know that it is my study and hard work (or lack of it) that will decide how well I will do in an exam. Them saying good luck to me will not magically make me do better in that exam or magically make the question I am best at come up.

Atheists and atheism should still be socially unacceptable with openly atheist people shunned in rural communities and read from the pulpit.
Their opinions should not be allowed on state air ways or in national news papers as this is a catholic country.
Thus atheism would not be the new cool thing.

Because that's exactly the kind of Ireland we want to go back to isn't it? a religion soaked virtual theocracy where women, gay people and ethnic minorities had few rights, the CC ruled with an iron fist and abuse was covered up.
Jesus wept  Speaking of Jesus, I guess you'd call yourself a good Catholic-what do you think Jesus would have to say about what you just wrote? I don't think he'd advocate shunning and humiliating people, do you? that's not what I would call being a good Christian.

Also for me at least atheism has NOTHING, I repeat NOTHING to do with coolness. I couldn't give a fig about being 'cool'. Ever think that some of us may have arrived at our happy state of non-belief in any gods by logic, deductive reasoning and in my case by simply being unable to believe in something there is not a shred of proof for?

I believe that life begins at conception, but that abortion should be legal for all.

Too many pro-choice people split hairs about when life begins and when a foetus is aware of its surroundings or can feel pain because they're uncomfortable with the fact that abortion involves the ending of a human life, no matter how undeveloped it is.

Instead, they should be more mature and acknowledge that yes, abortion involves killing a foetus, but if hasn't developed to a great extent, hasn't experienced life outside the womb, and will cause trouble for the mother by being born, or be disadvantaged if it were born, then it's probably acceptable to abort the foetus.

The same thing goes for things like stem-cell research. Yes it's unfortunate if foetuses have to be terminated to access the cells, but their death has to be balanced against the medical advances that can be made.

    Ok

Religious people who claim that atheism is 'the new cool thing' are twits who dont realise that it has simple emerged into society now because it can do so without fear. Perhaps we need an atheist version of a Pride March:D

Rugby Union is an awful sport
If Ireland were in the World Cup Final I wouldn't watch it, wow World Champions of a sport a handful of countries are competitive at

I've no idea who won the Six Nations last year and don't care to find out

However, I've watched some Rugby League and find that more entertaining.
But it has so little presence in Ireland, it's the better sport

Completely agree. Rugby is a horrendous sport.

Same goes for the GAA sports. Any time i watch a game and there's "a good bit of skill" show it's usually comparable to League of Ireland-level soccer. Also, very few teams in any GAA sport seem to understand even rudimentary tactics.

Yes, down with that sort of thing!
What's the point of learning for the sake of learning? We should all just be educated to serve the needs of the economy! cogs in the wheel! who needs to be a fully rounded individual with an appreciation and knowledge of art, craft, design, philosophy...

You do know that it doesn't make you sound cool or clever or grown up to make deliberately nasty and provocative statements like that, don't you?
there's no prize for saying the most outlandish thing you can think of.

People who claim that 'modern music is rubbish' need to stop listening to the spoon fed pap that is now and was always pumped into our ears by commercial radio and get out there and discover all the artists turning out fu*cking great music.

Democracy doesn't work and should be scrapped.

I use to think a bit like that but if someone walks up to you in the street & tells you to do these lotto numbers and you win or tells you to back this horse and you win, then you had no real decision in that only whether or not to back it. Someone gave you that 'luck'

It's not as bad as GAA( the football), hurling isn't that bad a sport though but gaelic football is worse than rugby union, just

Thoses wearing pyjamas in public, should be automaticly
teazered or peppered sprayed by the Gardai.

Fines for gross obese men walking around with the tops off, same
    for fat, skanky women.

Child abusers should be released into the lion enclosure in Dublin Zoo.
Entertainment for Society and closure(great word:pac:) and give the lions a reminder of home.

    And on that note :D

People who use the phrase "discovering new music". Such hipster nonsense. You found some band who may or may not be decent but you'll love them because no one else has heard of them.

I have no problems with the artists themselves but rather with the people who think they are soooooooo cultured and interesting because what they listen to is a bit niche.

So primary school education is of no real benifit to the economy? It's hardly college, although to someone with your English skills it may as well be.
