Right, so long story short - Scammer got hold of my GF's number, rang her then tried to get her to upgrade our UPC TV package (I only have UPC BB, not TV) cause they had a super limited special offer that was only good for the next 40 seconds.

She told the guy that she doesn't pay the bills and that it's me he needs to contact, so she gives him my number .

I get a phone call stating that I enquired about an upgrade (which I didn't) and that it was only valid till midnight. Asked for my CC details straight out so I told him I was making dinner and would call him back later. He's since phoned me 3 times and left a voicemail.

The guy phoned me from a mobile number (since when does UPC conduct business through a mobile:confused:)

Anywho, I'm not asking for scamming stories, just for a way to f*ck him over. I've obtained 2 phone numbers (not sure if I can post them). The plan is to sign both of the numbers up to as many free spam text company bullsh*t that I can.

    Any other suggestions?

    TL;DR - Have 2 numbers of a scammer, how do I f*ck him over?

    EDIT to include number: xxx

Sign him up to a subscription service?
Like those "download this ringtone now!" ones that charge every time they text you? I'd say you can do it online somehow?

I've been tirelessly seatching since creating this thread for a good ringotne/wallpaper type subscription that cost money... No joy so far. If anyone else wants to have a pop at it, go nuts! I've included his number in the original post

The question is how the scammer got your GF phone number in the first place?

Punched numbers in at random, morethanlikely.

Honestly, I've no idea. See's not so quick regarding these things so may have given it to a colleague of the scammer at a previous time.

She has since been warned... Although, I warned her the last time when she gave my BANK DETAILS to a random guy who knocked on the claiming to be from Airtricity (thankfully he was).

Spent the whole day panicking that she'd given all my money to the prince of Nigeria...

Make up fake flyers with his numbers on them offering rent-boy services.
It would be easier just to write his number on public toilet doors across the city offing services.

if you don't ring the number, i will but seeing as it's your problem i think you should do this alone.

but i wrote a script for you.

'I don't know who you are. I don't know what you want. If you are looking for ransom, I can tell you I don't have money. But what I do have are a very particular set of skills; skills I have acquired over a very long career. Skills that make me a nightmare for people like you. If you let my girlfriend go now, that'll be the end of it. I will not look for you, I will not pursue you. But if you don't, I will look for you, I will find you, and I will kill you.'

    that'll solve the problem.

You could ring him and use one of these 1 2

I think it's getting too far. You are getting worse than the scammer...
Isn't it better to protect your privacy in the first place than later focus on stalking the poor scammer ;-)
I'm using VPN with strong encryption and none of my personal data leaked out.
It's better to prevent than cure symptoms.
