Hi all just looking for some help.

Have 2 I phones, 1 with Meteor and the Other with 3.

My 3 phone tethers perfect I just open a personal hotspot and away I go. With my meteor phone it tethers and my laptop finds the hotspot but it only gives me local, no internet.

    Any ideas whats up?

    Thanks.

Sorry to stray slightly off topic, I just got an iPhone 4 with O2 set up and found out my old unlimited data plan doesn't cover tethering. Instead I have to pay an extra €12.50 a month for 1gb tethering allowance!

Could have re-contracted etc for a further 18 months but feck that, I'll pay through the nose for the next 5 months and jump ship.

Just wanted to give a heads up to anyone in a similar situation.

Similar thing happened to me. Bizarrely you can tether if your phone is jailbroken or if you are on a 2gb plan. I un-jailbroke my phone and got landed with a €60 bill for data. Luckily I don't tether much or it would have been much higher. I argued my case and got a refund. My contract runs out in October and I'm off to Meteor. I don't tether often but it's a deal breaker for me.

I was going to jailbreak but don't want to revert and get a scary bill as I tether to my iPad a lot.

I'm just going to keep my arse primed and on show to be plowed over the O2 barrel for a few more months and then jump ship. :)
