I was with a friend at the weekend in Nothern Ireland and we were on the M2 going southbound. The speed limit dropped from 70mph to 50mph and we were overtaking a lorry and wanted to complete our overtake before we slowed down:rolleyes:. In the northbound lane we noticed the police and it looked like they were speed checking. We broke the moment we saw them.
Do ye think she got caught for speeding? If she was is it just a fine or is it a fine and points? Does it take long to receive the summons in the post?

If you were in a Southern Registered car then you're safe.

thats not entirely true as they'd still put it in their records and it might ping up on ANPR were you ever to visit NI again in the car. They might impound the car until you pay the fine , costs quite a lot to get it back.

Didn't think ANPR's stored foreign registrations.

Irrespective, "this is my first time North in this car Officer"
