Nice run out this game. The camera angles are wrecking my head though. Fontas looking rather assured when asked.

+1 That overhead camera angle is a head wrecker and they keep using it.

Ha, funny how they are listing the Audi Cup alongside La Liga, Champions League etc. on ITV 4.:pac:

Truly cringe worthy, Guardiola looked embarrassed when the interviewer was also hyping it up.

    Its all mickey mouse tbh.

Supercopa, Copa del Rey, UEFA Super Cup, are not even worth mentioning as far as I am concerned.

Your basically talking about the equivalent of the charity shield, fa cup and a UEFA charity shield.

Only trophies worth mentioning are la Liga, Champions and perhaps FIFA World Club.

Yeah they are mickey mousetrophies but at least the Copa del Rey and that actually count towards the club's honours.

    The fecking Audi Cup though:pac:

It has lost its prestige in my opinion - especially amongst the bigger clubs.

The FA giving United permission not to defend it 2000 was a PR disaster.

The Premier league allowing games on the day of the final this year also evidence that it no longer holds the aura it once did.

That and the fact it is regularly mentioned in the press and by managers as not holding the significance it once did.

Before last season Madrid hadnt won the Copa in nearly 20 years.

Before 2009 Barça hadnt won it in 11 years.

The big two didnt take it seriously and just fielded B teams.

Madrid only took it seriously last season because they were desperate to break the Barça grip which was in place since 2008.

They broke with the tradition in Spain of fielding the reserve keeper in Copa del Rey games.

The bottom line is they wanted to win it - in the years before they weren't arsed - pretty much sums up its worth.

How long before we get Puyol back? Wasnt it 7 weeks from early june that he'd start training again? Not having Pique too for the start of the season is a concern too.

How does everyone think we'll line up against United tomorrow?

They said 2/3 months for Puyo after he had the surgery - I read that he wont make the Supercopa.

Xavi only re-joined the group today - was working separately up until then.

Not sure if Pique's injury is serious or not.

yeah heard about Xavi's specialized training. Its noticeable how much of a different team we are without Xavi and Messi. I wouldnt be surprised to see united giving us more of a fight tomorrow, even with youngsters

Was there any reason why Barcelona were playing in that horrible green and not the black?

Talk of Cesc doing a Mascherano a.k.a. taking a pay cut to try help push thru the transfer.

Looks like Jeffren is nearing his departure from Barcelona. Apparently hes leaving Miami soon to go back to Barcelona to finalise a deal with Sporting CP. Rumous are €5m.. amazing if true.

He was never going to get much game time this season, with the promotions from Barcelona B & Sanchez

Aye, read that. Adriano came back a week early and has joined the squad in Miami. Fcuking Messi is driving me nuts. Chap hasnt been resting since the Copa America. Played either his 2nd/3rd charity match last night since Argentina got eliminated.

I admire United, huge respect for Ferguson. As many of you all were, I followed my parents in supporting a team. I dont support them anymore, but I do keep an interest
