I have 200 euro

I need to do a grocery shop this weekend. That will be 60 euro roughly.
I have esb bill to pay tuesday. Thats 95 euro.

I also want to go out tonight. But it leaves me 45 to go out. So not enough.

I also have family that owe me money. Have been telling them all week that I need to be repayed, some of it at least but they are not happy paying up. They have the money for boozing. And town shopping but not to pay me what they owe. It will break my heart to see them out on the piss while I stay in broke because of them.

Wondering now, should I ignore the esb bill so that I can go out?

Simple, don't go out. It's not a need, have a night in instead. Why would you spend 45 euro on a night out anyway if you're tight on cash?

Skipping an ESB bill to go out isn't a good idea in the long run, why not just pay it off and make a compromise. You don't need more than 45 euro unless you plan on going mental.

I'd chase family members for the cash and go out. If they dont pay I'd prob go out on ESB money and worry about it later, though I'm not known for makin good decisions. Also yoiu prob coiuld go out on 45e, just drink at home beforehand.

Compromise on going out - stay in and have a few friends around, watch a DVD or something. Everyone can bring their own booze, you can buy your own (which won't cost too much) and a few nibbles for everyone. Sorted.

As far as I'm concerned (for me anyway) after paying bills, buying food and stuff, if there is not enough cash in the kitty going out isn't an option, simples. Lifes a bitch sometimes.

You could, or you could drink before you go out or have people over to the house for a drunken night in?

Or you could go out and not drink much? I spent the day being very ill (and for once if wasn't alcohol related) and it felt just like a horrific hangover. I wouldn't recommend it all - it wasn't fun
