Do you have a "unique" or "normal" real life name?

In today's world we seem to be moving away from traditional names such as John or Mary. I have a grandfather, father, uncle and brother named John but none named Zak, Brad or Josh etc. I also have a lot of relatives with other traditional names such as Mary, Michael, Patrick, Brigdet etc.

I am 30 years old so vary of putting myself in the "older" bracket as some will tell me to go home and change my nappy and others will think I am over the hill but I know loads of people around my own age and older who have double names as normal first names but it doesn't seem to happen so much with younger people.

I have a double first name. People who I grew up with think nothing of it and always call be by it but people who just meet me call me by me "first" name. In this day and age, are there younger people with double traditional names and are there people with "unique" names?

Very unusual surname. Had a girl say last night she wants to marry me to get it and I'm really, really ugly.

My first name isn't weird, but it's out of fashion at the moment so it'd be rare to meet someone my age with it.

    My surname is weird.

It's an Italian boys name and I'm a girl. :o

It's common for girls around here though... I'm not particularly fond of it.

I have a normal name. But a sorta unique spelling of it :D

My surname's a weird one. It's a first name, and the amount of people who call me it, confusing it for my first name, is frustrating, to say the least.

My first name isn't rare, but unfortunately it can be applied as a surname, which doesn't help with the above predicament.

I'd have a pretty unique forename and surname. Googlesearch tells me there's only one other of my namesake in the whole world. He's black and has numerous convictions for armed robbery!!!

First name fairly normal, last name unusual
All my kids have unusual names.
One after a state in America and sci-fi film star.
One after a character in a classic sci-fi film.
Two others after TV sc-fi characters.

You might notice a trend above. :D

I was so confused reading that  I think you should give us your first name and surname so we can understand :P

My name is unusual enough, very few people have looked at it written down and pronounced it correctly. I've had to hide my facebook page completely online so it can't be searched, because there is nobody else on there with my name (first and last names combined).

I like it though, because it's still not off the wall or anything.

I have a very normal first name (Tadhg) when I'm at home, but not as easily understood when I'm abroad.

My surname is far more unique, I think there are about 20 people in the world with my surname.

All my children have very typically Irish first names and my Senegalese surname, they love their names because it represents both of their heritages and tbh I think helps them integrate without compromising Who they are.

Fairly generic first name, and my surname is one of the seven names of Laois or something, so it's fairly common around here.
