I can't get BBC1 NI on Channel 141 or BBC2 NI on 142 on my Sky Box.

All other channels fine. Did a reboot. No joy. Been like this since yesterday.

I can get BBC1 and 2 Scotland in other channels.

    Help!

    What is at 141/142?

Is it a new install?, are the bbc's at 101/102.

Plug out box from mains for few secs and back in again, see if that helps!

141/142 are channel numbers on my sky box. RTE1 is on 101.
Installed years ago and never had a problem.

Turned off box and unplugged for about 5 mins. Back on & no difference. All other channels are perfect.

I see people are having trouble with BBCHD but no-one yet having problems with standard channels it seems.

i have bbc1 & 2 london added as other channels. Its not ideal as you wont be able to sky+ them but at least you'll be able to watch. I find bbc2 london has their comedy prgrammes on earlier than bbc2ni

Go into the hidden installers menu and do a new install, this should fix this problem, depending on the type of sky box you have to access the hidden menu is either Services 4 0 1 select or Services 0 0 1 select.

Just did the new install. It completed succesfully.

    No difference. Weird.

I think my box is maybe knackered. I did a planner rebuild as well. No change.

Now the Irish channels are pixellated and picture + sound is freezing while other channels are perfect. Old recorded stuff is fine so hard drive is prob OK. Will swap box with another when I get my hands on one.

Well I fixed it. First thing I checked when the problem started was the sensor. From the ground it looked fine. It was only when I lost all reception I had another look and by then the sensor had completely fallen off it's mount.

The retaining bracket had cracked. Guess I know who to thank for that.
