I also hate the way a woman can be a sl*t but men can't.

If a key opens lots of locks, then it's a master key. But if a lock is opened by lots of keys, then it's a sh!tty lock.

Yeah, we all hate ourselves so much that we hook up with arseholes which we think we can change but really just get the head kicked off ourselves and ignore all the nice men. It's how we get our kicks.:p

There is the lovely term "man whore" which should be used more readily

Hah, well I don't mean all girls!! But there is the element of women that like the 'bad boy' thing.

Then complain when they are mistreated!!

Yeah I get ya. It's just irritating that the common idea is that we're all like that. It's not just the male friends who have to listen to women going on about how "x is such a bastard", yet two days later you're talking about him gushingly again argh!

The most annoying thing about women, in my opinion, is that they'll find a guy and try to change him... They have this idea that they can change someone to fit their wants. Then he doesn't change so he's a prick?

Hmmm, I don't know that there's alot I don't like about men as such. Just a few things that drive me batty about my DH specifically. Like when we share out chores and I feel I have to micro manage. He'll clean the bathroom but really do a half assed job and I have to spell out exactly what needs cleaning. And the fact that he tends to milk it for ages whereas I will do housework and have the place gleaming and that's it. He wants a parade.

    nothing infuriates me about women

however their neediness and enthusiasm to communicate trivial stuff to me would be high on the list of stuff that i encounter amongst them commonly and that I find unattractive and boring

please ask yourselves this ladies, do you think your guy really needs to know that you saw a nice pair of shoes today or that you saw a cute puppy or that some person who is a friend of one of your friends and whom i have never met and know nothing about got a new fitted kitchen

yawn, and please filter the info down to its core please because if you are going to regale me with these kind of tales then cut out about 99% of the surrounding detail i.e. "my friend's friend got a new fitted kitchen" is preferable to "do you know marie who i went to school with and we had that great eurorail trip in 2002 when we travelled through france and spain and it was the first time i tried squid and oh god i puked, it was so stringy, yes that marie, well her friend, do you know her?, her name is Lorraine, she came to that 21st a few years back, do you remember it? the one when we started a fire in the garden and the police showed up and we all had to leave mortified and covered in soot, no you don't remember her, come to think of it she may not have went to that 21st, it was probably another one I am thinking of......well anyway this Lorraine got a brand new fitted kitchen (rambles on about the fitted kitchen for another 5 minutes and any tenously connected kitchen anecdotes she can think of)....."

and after of course if you are not riveted by all that it somehow means you don't care or don't want to listen which of course is true if 99% of what you say is trivial random unrelated bull****

lesson: give me the core information, filter, always filter or don't get all uppity when I yawn in your face and nod at the wrong moments

You were wearing your blue jumper...

also, as regards the whole "sl9t" name calling, Ive heard blokes (and been called by blokes) calling girls sluts, far more often than Ive heard women do it.
It generally seems to occur in one of two scenarios
    a) that they have been with said girl and they have now been replaced by another bloke they percieve to be wealthier/better lookin etc ....OR
    b) they have been rebuked (politely) by said girl and so feel they have to put her down (as was my exp. yeah you're right, i am a slut, and if i had a garden full of fannies, I still wouldnt let ye look over the wall. so what does that say about you)

And yet most of ye still go home alone at the weekend :D:D:D

You don't have to be obvious about it to do it, it's more a manipulative thing. Especially emotionally. Perhaps men aren't as idealistic as women when it comes to stuff like that so they do it less often. What do I know! The last guy I went out with thought I looked down on him and judged him cos I was supposedly so damn smart! News to me!:pac:

I realise it probably does work both ways but, christ almighty, women leading men on is my number one peeve.

I don't mind if you want to turn me down, if you're not interested fair enough, I'm comfortable with that. I have a female friend I went out to dinner and pints with. She threw shapes at me, we kissed for a few minutes, then she got awkward and decides the best course of action is to go off with a randomer - wow, that's sound.

Another that I lived in the same house with - she came into my room with open jeans showing her knickers, "accidentally" left the door to her own room open while she was changing, asked me if I wanted to join her in the shower, flirted with me in general conversation. Then on a night out, turns me down when I threw shapes? Don't do any of that sh1t if you're not interested !!!!

EDIT: The "What are you thinking?" thing - the best answer to this was provided by Al Bundy: "Peg, if I wanted you to know what I was thinking, I would be talking to you."

I remember hearing some galoot saying that men were attracted to women for who they are, while women are attracted to men for who they can become.

The way they flounce around the place seemingly unaware of the effect their general sexiness is having.
Yes, I know it’s Sunday morning and you’re just wearing one of my t-shirts cause you find it comfortable – but please try to realize that while it may be just a relaxing piece of loungewear for you, I’m finding it hard to concentrate on my Sunday papers.
Now go to bedroom at once, you brazen hussy.

If you think emotional manipulation is a mostly female thing I'm afraid you're mistaken. It's just another handy box to put women into, like saying men are less empathetic.

Women have a problem with women being sluts. Men have a problem if their girlfriend is a slut, they don't care if other women are sluts.

I have to say that I never realised that guys think us girls are so stupid until I read this thread.

I admit that I know some girls who have no interests etc but we are not all like that :(

Is there any chance that maybe you think we are that way when we put in a bit of effort with ourselves? I don't overdo it but I like to make the best of myself however I am not stupid. Have loads of interests, movies, music, technology, current affairs, outdoor activities and having a laugh.

Have to defend my gender, I don't think it's all back or white with us.
