Just wondering if people reckon the new (on the hd boxes) or old sky epg is the best?

I currently have the old one but like the look of the new one and with a house move have an option to go for the new one

i think its a bit faster,

but you will loose the ability to remove the card and have the epg revert to the uk one,
(i still have the old one)

The benefits of the new EPG far outweigh the loss of access to the UK EPG.

    Good points:
    • Mini-screen - watch TV while in the guide
    • Excellent search - not just the first letter
    • Appears faster than the old one
    • The 'i' button show the info for whatever programme is in the now next bar
    • Option to select series link when you press record

And I'm sure others will post more...

I have never used the search function so cant comment.

this is the old version of the new software.
There is a newer version (darwin i think ) that kills the uk epg.

Has anyone found a way round this yet.

Edit: Thanks John mac you have answered this in another thread.
