Good old Kobayashi, little bit of a distraction ahead and he's straight up the inside. :D

BBC on UPC Digital sounds great. The crackling & spluttering are the engines. :p

Barrichello's out? Didn't see what happened to him - mechanical? edit: engine failure

Vettel's rear brakes have a problem. If they're overheating, they can fix that at the next pit stop - widen the ventilation a bit.

A-ha - Button's woken up at the halfway point, challenging Sutil for 7th.

Let's see if Hamilton can work the pit stop ... he has! Back in the lead ...

For fcuksake Hamilton deserves the lead because he's the only one of the top three who wasn't a complete pussy in the last two laps.

Great overtake by Hamilton, which is why I love him. He'll take the risk for glory

webber loses it braking on the white line aswell

But the top three are a whole pit stop ahead of everyone else - so barring a disaster, we know who's on the podium.

    Button out - Hydraulics.

FFS, up to 6th and possibly one less stop to make for him, no luck.

As I've discussed at great length before, there's fcuk all risk involved for him because every other driver seems to lack testes.

Webber seems to have dropped back abit

Ah now he nearly pushed Rosberg off the track there :p but i do love watching Kobayashi

When Vettel actually has to drive and overtake he's not that good

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Difference for me is Hamilton will put people on the grass every time if he needs to, with Rosberg there he was on that bit of tarmac on the exit of the corner.

He'd be awful to play Forza with, unless he has a car a second a lap faster he'd probably refuse to play. :pac:

Great racing and race. A credit to the Pirelli rubber making this an interesting (testing) race. Some great pace in the top 5, so we might see some more racing.

Will we see some more surprises in the last laps? Will the tyres last 16 or is another change necessary on the final ones?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

I want rain now and Massa please knock Vettel out :D

They're all out of soft tyres now, they'll probably come in on the last lap to stick on the hards.

Should be fun now to see how much Hamilton took out of these tyres at the start of the run.

    Petrov has primes on now

Petrov with PB on third and first sectors, he seems happy enough on the hard tyres.

come on alonso! Please don't fcuk it up...

Hamilton quick enough to cover Webber for now, down to how Webber and Alonso can get the hard tyres up to speed.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,051 ✭✭✭✭bnt

This is fascinating stuff - the tyres seem to be working better and better, then "falling off the cliff". It seems to be happening to Webber now, just as he's furthest from the pit entrance ...

5 laps to go and Webber leads but still has to pit

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,316 ✭✭✭✭amacachi

Webber still stays out, no idea what the hell that's meant to be about, ridiculous.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

Great job from Hamilton, some good overtakes and pace when he needed

    Nice close race

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 13,051 ✭✭✭✭bnt

What the heck was that? Massa's pit stop must have gone very badly.

Championship class race from Hamilton - cool when he needed to be, but overtook when no-one else would have managed it, and pulled it back when it looked like luck was against him.

Aren't the cars required to have enough fuel for a sample at the end of the race?...

Wonder was Alonso out of fuel

    .

all down to pit entry imo massa was way to slow while vettel attacked to the limiter line

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,262 ✭✭✭✭Autosport

Delighted for Lewis, Alonso getting a lift from Webber was like Senna and Prost :)

Massa was still ahead though and had the advantage. Pitstop was probably a couple of tenths slow and I imagine someone will be getting a bollocking for not releasing him quicker.
