Why is Guinness dearer than Beamish.?
50 cent at least in most pubs.
If Beamish can sell their drink at that
    price, why can't Guinness?

Perhaps Guinness doesn't have or want to sell pints a lower price due to a loss in profits

    Bea-what now?

If Beamish can sell drink @ 50 or 60 cent cheaper than Guinness for the same type of beverage then why can't Guinness drop their prices a little?

Probably due to its brand strength? I mean how many american tourists will have heard of Beamish in comparison to Guinness, besides i think locally where I am the price of Guinness was dropped to 3.50?

All the Guinness adverts don't come cheap.

I was in Ballincollig last weekend and was told that the Americans were asking for Beamish. Apparently there is a big advertising campaign in the U.S.A. It seems to be working.

a good beamish beats a good guinness. but since guinness is more popular its more common to get a good pint of guinness.

I usually have a pint of beamish to start with and see how the taps are

The only place that I would drink Beamish is in Cork.

Guinness probably could, if they wanted to. But they sell enough that they dont have to bring down their prices.

Although I quite fancy a Beamish now, have not had one in ages.

Guinness is far nicer but a good murphys is even better again.

Guinness, Beamish, and Murphy's all come in at less than €1.50 a pint to the Publican, what price he/her charges after that is up to them.

Blind taste test. Get a barman to pour a pint of Guinness and a pint of Beamish into two unmarked glasses. Try and tell which is which.

You can also try this for lager, try and tell the difference between "premium" Heineken and say Baveria. Without markings on the glass, or being told which is which.

Difference between Guinness and Beamish is very apparent.

Maybe it's because Beamish is disgusting and they need to sell it at a lower price.

It could also be the money guinness spend on keeping their quality high like those guys who clean the pub's taps and test the guinness coming out.

    Beamish when available.

Why did the Guinness drinkers go back to drinking Guinness after the Guinness strike, even though Murphys was on tap in most pubs?

Is it a Dublin V Cork phobia or has Guinness got a better advertising campaign?
