Sky News only seem to describe the man as "Norwegian", rather than "Nordic", which was the description the police used, and a significant distinction.

And they only mention that in the context of how Islamic terrorists prefer to recruit local operatives.

Incidentally, BBC just showed The Sun's front page tomorrow, and it's a humdinger. "Al Qaeda" attack, "Norway's 9/11" etc. Ugh, that paper.

Oh look, they have a religious analyst in. That will surely help with this report, AND NOW THEY JUST SAID HE'S WHITE AND BLONDE AGAIN, DAMMIT

They are a news channel , of course they are going to speculate and bring in various analysts.

They're spending far too much time on the bombing, IMO. I would personally like to know more about Utoya, as it's clearly far more important.

The media don't have a clue what's going on.

Norwegian police have raided the home of the suspect. He is reported to have links to the far right. He had two weapons, an automatic and a Glock handgun registered in his name.

His identity is known the press but they can't reveal it.

WARNING - another large pixelated photo!

FFS, Sky are trying to blame it on Muslims again, even though moments ago they said it was a Norwegian man.

police just confirmed it's not Islamic-related, Sky News sound deflated and devastated

Yep AP in Oslo saying police insider in Oslo confirmed not connected to Islamic fundamentalists.

LOL and now Mrs Botting is skeptical of the source. She's a ledge.

OMFG. The bitch on Sky news keeps pushing the muslim angle even though it's as obvious as day that this is homegrown. What a stupid bitch.

Not if you're not in control of the remote.

It seems like the survivors have. They seem to be in sports halls etc meeting parents and families. Unfortunately still some kids missing :(

sky keep saying that it's not related to islamic terrorists and that it was a right winger...

but then every 2 seconds they keep talking about the islamic community/imigrants... I think they only planned for the possibility that it was Al Qaeda...

dunno why I watch sky news at all tbh... it's like the NOTW of the News Stations

Not for everyone. It was actually worth it to see her put in her place but sometimes it really is the British Fox news.

By Christ, between The Sun's headline and Sky News' embarrassing bullsh*t this evening, I intend to take even greater relish in Rupert Murdoch's fall from grace than I had before.

Sky News' ridiculous pantomime would be funny if it weren't so nauseating.

    Then don't

Have to say I'm not getting confused by the coverage. They don't know, that is the thing, it is speculation at the moment.

In fairness there could well be a connection still. Madcap right extremists and immigrant/minority tensions often go hand in hand.

Named: Anders Behring Brevik, 32. from Oslo

The American stations are worse, Euronews decides to talk about stupid minor stories in the middle of it, every two minutes, NHK isn't Eurocentric enough to care very much, Russia Today is Russian, Al Jazeera doesn't seem very trustworthy, NDTV is showing cricket most of the time, France 24 are from France, and I've never heard of CNC.

BBC aren't on frequently enough for me to use them, and RTE is about a millennium behind everyone else. Thus, Sky is the nearest to trustworthy we have..

Anders Behring Breivik is the lad who allegedly did it
