Whilst Mossad have a track record when it comes to this sort of attack think i'll wait and see all the same.

If it was a Mossad attack yer man would be on a plane back to Israel by now. Too amateurish.

The biggest German tabloid 'BILD' jumps on the bandwagon about Islamic terrorists, because:
    1. 500 Norwegian troops in Afghanistan
    2. The involvement of Norwegian bombers in NATO airstrikes against Libya and Ghaddafi threatening the whole lot of Europe with revenge
    3. Cartoons of the prophet Mohammed in Norwegian Newspapers.

Well...all those speculations won't bring back the dead

R.I.P. to all who lost their lives

None of those things are specific to Norway and point one and two apply to dozens of countries whereas point three applies to a smaller handful.

I understand the point you're making to an extent but in real terms of what's been presented today, the amount of discussion about Islam on Sky News is completely unproportional compared to what they have to work with.

If it was an Islamic attack it would have been aimed "not at this time". They would have had it at peak and "off the holiday season" to achieve maximum casualties. The Soft target on the Island also raises very serious suspicions.

Do you know where the Conspiracy Theory forum is? Was the suicide bombing in Stockholm last year a Mossad op too?

Odds on it's a lone nutjob.

At this time, it's believed to be an act of domestic terrorism, no more no less.

Norway has a number of extreme right wing elements, and this attack was aimed squarely at the centre left Labour party, rather than civilians or the "government" more generally.

Too much for a loan nutjob this operation was calculated and well planned

Using a developing terrorist attack on children as an excuse to trot out that kind of bollocks again borders on grotesque insensitivity.

Those pictures of the bodies in the water is heartbreaking.:(

Has the shooter been confirmed as being dead or captured or is he still on the loose?

Could well be. Scandinavia is a hotbed of right-wing extemists. Sweden used to be the world's biggest producer of rightwing propaganda, I'm not sure if it still is.

Well the bomb would have to have been well planned but he could have just hopped in his car after and headed out to the island to open fire on the people there. Even more straight forward if the bomb had been on a timer or something.

Knut Storberget, the Minister of Justice and Policing, has just confirmed that the suspect arrested is Norwegian.

Can all conspiracy theorists, religious bigots and general racists perhaps retract their gross assumptions?

Some kids were shot, swam to a neighbouring island and died. Source sky news (sorry I was just listening to a guy talk so no link yet) the poor mites.

It seems that he was shot and is in custody.

Edit: Haven't heard anything more about him being shot, that may have been early speculation, but he's definitely been apprehended by the police.

Aren't you assuming that if someone is Norwegian they couldn't also be part of some sort of Al Qaida off-shoot?

Nope, not assuming anything or ruling anything out, unlike all those who immediately pointed at the Muslim immigrants and screamed 'round them all up!'.

Sky news still using the Muslim angle for the attack. Jesus they really hate them.

Sky news are still spouting about islamic terrorists when the Norwegian pm has specifically said they don't know the details yet.

Tragic story of a woman who went out in a small boat to rescue kids from the water, they could fit ten on the boat but had no room for number 11 and 12 and it was heartbreaking to turn them away.

Can't understand motives when it comes to kids ( I know they were labour youth and this is seemingly political ) but they are clearly kids

...which is why I always tell people that in the absence of an alternative to Sky News, forget about it and check back on a proper news service later.
